Background & Education
I have a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Prescott College and Nursing and Humanities degrees from the University of Texas. I worked as a nurse for ten years with populations experiencing high levels of trauma before starting my role as a counselor. My work as a nurse sparked my interest in mental health. Since completing my counseling degree, I have gained experience working with children, teens, and adults in inpatient, outpatient, and crisis settings.
Personal Focus
With degrees in nursing and counseling, I am passionate about helping people restore healthy brain-body connections. It is important to not only be able to “think better” but to “feel better” as well. Many experience feelings that overtake them or seem out of their control. I can help you identify and move through barriers to achieve a newfound sense of well being.
I want to work with those who are interested in pushing through to a new place. A place where you can feel more like the person you want to be. I will work alongside you and help you move into the life you are hoping for, and together we can find ways to unlock a more hopeful and fulfilling future.
