Introduction

I specialize in helping individuals of all ages cope with various life challenges. Including:

  • Substance abuse

  • Sex and porn addictions

  • Compulsive behaviors

  • Relationship issues

  • Gender processing

  • Sexuality

  • Trauma

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

I have years of experience helping those with disabilities, mental health concerns, and addictive behaviors. I also have a passion for supporting young adults in navigating the challenges of entering adulthood and helping those in the LGBT community.

Education and Experience

I've been in the mental and behavioral health field for over ten years. My experiences over that time drew me to helping those struggling with addictions and assisting those with disabilities. My journey started by attending counseling to address my mental health challenges. Through counseling, I not only received the support I needed but also discovered my passion for mental health.

I received my Bachelor's in Rehabilitation and Addiction Studies and then earned my Master's in Rehabilitation Counseling at the University of North Texas. After graduating, I had the pleasure of working with esteemed mental health organizations such as Texas Health and Human Services (HHSC), the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), and the National Association of Recovery Residences (NARR).

Personal Focus

You need someone to walk with you, not for you–I aim to do that. I am a compassionate, welcoming, and empathetic listener. While I aim to encourage you, it's also essential for you to hear a different point of view focused on future outcomes. Working together, I promise to tell you what you need to hear, never diluting whatever message will help you heal and grow.

No matter where you are in your journey, I will support you until you are not just okay but thriving.

I enjoy being outdoors, working on trucks, woodworking, and volunteering in recovery programs when I'm not at work. I also enjoy spending time with my family, niece, and nephew whenever possible.
